But the Jews settled in Israel before the Palestinians. And the reason why the Jews left is the Roman empire, they didn't choose to leave.
I agree anybody can go anywhere (except other holy sites for other religions) and everyone should have to follow the same rules.
It's neutral so the Christians would have access to holy sites, along with the rest of Israel.
Israel got their land and developed there before the Palestinians did. Also, the Israelis successfully defended their land by winning several wars.
Jerusalem should be neutral for the Israelis and the Palestinians because there are holy sites for the Muslims, Jews, and Christians. If there is a two-state solution, the Palestinians or the Jews could possibly have no access to some holy sites, which could cause conflict.
